Commissioners Court Knows Better !

Dallas County Commissioners Court Members know you cannot use federal forfeiture funds to fund items that have been a part of the General fund budget.The Court has used this same on other DA's and they have told them the same thing you can not use that money. Just as DISD tried to use federal grant funds to supplement general funds and were told no, the same goes with forfeiture money the Feds have guidelines for that money. The money is to enhance existing programs.

Government Elected Officials knew the tax base would decline this year, why did they not plan for this. Commissioner Court members make over $100,000 a year maintain two Offices and staffs why don't they close their Road and Bridge offices? Why don't they combine the Road and Bridge operation into one. Only Commissioner with County roads is District 3. Teflon Price's District. Commissioner could use their Road and Bridge funds to make up the difference.
Commissioner caused Parkland tax to go up with that Jail health mess , they are totally responsible for trying to hurt Jim Bowles, but the tax payers are paying for their mess. Parkland is now operating the Jail health and paying for it which is not the Hospital District responsibility, such bad government.Tax payers are not calling out Dallas Commissioners Court members for years of miss management. Maurine Dickey and Jim Foster had nothing to do with it when they took Office it was already done, one reason Jim Jackson is gone.

John Price is simply trying to hurt Craig with this public name calling, he would never have said Bill Hill former DA was in La-La land, but again Hill fired Mike Gillette upon taking office , Teflon Price wanted him gone, he's the guy who was prosecuting Price for rape until the complainant dropped charges after receiving death threats from unknown source's. Price did not even say Henry Wade "didn't grasp the inter working of his office and County Government" and he was over there sending innocent people to jail right and left and the Commissioner could do nothing to Mr. Wade, he would tell them where to go and quick.Price hated poor DA Mr.Vance and he was a nice guy but then again Mr. Vance's office prosecuted him also.Craig Watkins is a man and just like Henry Wade will not kiss Teflons ass to get along. Teflon Price can not stand for two Black men to be Downtown, he might as well come to grip with it because I place my bet on Watkins staying around if the choice for the voters is between Watkins and Price.

Dallas Morning News editorial Board, again demonstrates why I named it Palin Group. Many days they speak as Palin thinks, out of touch with the real World and Dallas County.
Today they write, NFL boss wrong to reinstate dog-torturing QB, Michael Vick. While I think what Michael was involved in was a very bad situation, as an owner of two very lovely dogs which are family to me, I also understand how other animal lovers feel. The law prescribes the punishment time for crimes and the Judge follows that law.

The only purpose for prison sentence is to punish a person for a given crime. Michael was sentenced, served him time and was eligible in America to begin a new life after prison, the very same thing that Martha Stewart did. Martha Stewart returned to her same job even when she was on electronic monitor. Michael Vick could not do that because of a league rule imposed by the NFL and rightfully so.
Now the DMN, Palin group says Goodell was wrong for reinstating Vick, mind you he has not been hired by any team ,but the Palin Group say it’s wrong for him to be simply certified to work. In America work is a given right. Michael Vick by profession is a football player , he would naturally want to return to his former profession as did Martha Stewart. Michael Vick’s crime had nothing what so ever to do with neither his job nor his performance. If Vick had not been trying to help some “homeboys” who had no skills form a business he would not have been in trouble in the first place. Where Vick and party grew up dog and cock fighting was a sport so he could not have know the criminal aspects of it or he would not have named and registered the business, yes, he should have known or consulted legal guidance. I am not making Michael a victim just exposing another side of the picture. On the other hand Martha had plenty and was trying to get more or not lose any and properly educated and should have known better but did not care.

The NFL and Team Owners has long known when a young man Black or White comes from a low or modest income family and is showered with money upon entering the Professional area it causes a major life change. The first thing they do is try and help every hanger on from elementary school and the old neighborhood, then the family and etc.These kids and family know nothing about money management and the pit
falls it creates.
Where are the financial planners, investment bankers, accountants and life skill trainers? Where are the social workers to help walk them Thur the social changes, spiritual leader to introduce them to a community church? We could all help a young man when he first enters our community but the Team is so busy promoting him as a Star piece of meat that the Human side is lost. Who would not buy into thinking they are the best Thing since Dixie Crystal with all that?

I took from the DMN Editorial, Close all prisons to athletics, when an athlete is convicted of a crime send him/her to Death row. No need for probation, appeal or any other action because they should not be granted a right to work in their given professions after paying their debt to Society, because they horrified and embarrassed a group of people, who if we had a magnifying glass could find them (the group)horrifying and embarrassing some of us all the time.

Oh! How we Judge others and think we know it all. The Media has become a one sided
jaded form of communication. Once upon a time I trusted what I read and heard on the news, No more. I trust certain media people and what they write or report.

Race is not problem it’s that “Y” thing. The President of the US was wrong in making a comment on the Gates/Police situation. President Obama should have simply said it’s a local issue. I am indeed pleased that his wife and friends close to him that really care about him ,and not what he can do for them, told him he was wrong and he tried to correct his statement. I don’t think he is yet aware of how his words make a difference.

The “Y” chromosome in men makes them do crazy things. Professor Gates was so into who he is was outraged that a Police would have the nerve to ask him for his identification. When he presented his Harvard ID he felt that was enough and should speak for it self, Officer Crowley knows there are hundreds of those floating around and wanted something with the house address on it. The “Y” thing made the whole incident go overboard. Gates overreacted, Officer Crowley being a police was not about to take that conversation, when all he was doing was his job trying to protect property and stop a crime.
That “Y” thing caused Gates go to Jail and cause all this mess for Officer Crowley and President Obama.

Men please remember you have that “Y” thing, in your system; you must control it at all cost.

I am happy to see Black Elected Officials gather in harmony any day. However it's a little late for Paul Quinn. Board Leadership has been the problem for Paul Quinn since Heck was a pup.Men who could master a pulpit and make people shout with joy for Jesus Christ , have run the school into ruin.

The Black Colleges were born out of need ,during a time when Black young people could not attend White schools.Black's as a whole had less then but performed better.
How could a few Church people organize a College, educated young adults with less and today this same group of people cannot manage with the help of Government,donations ,community help and etc.

The majority community must wonder, why are these same people whining about the same
situation year after year and nothing gets better it continues to be worst. Comer did his best ,he invested his money buying that property when others were standing around making empty promises.The buildings from the outside look the same, last time I was in the Hall for an event it was still hot, there is a new wonderful sign with
the school name which any institution needs.
Thanks Michael Sorrell you have given your all and more but you cannot do it alone.This Community is just tired, we care but we've been doing this for, I know 30 years.

Dear Mr. Blair,
I read your column in volume 49 edition 28 with remarks by Bishop Gregory G.M. Ingram, Presiding Prelate of the African Methodist Episcopal, 10Th District. Mr. Blair I was shocked to see this man in an African American news paper asking Black Church People to Sow a Seed.

The African Methodist Episcopal 10Th District owned a Church property at 1626 Bar Harbor Dr, Dallas, Texas 75232. The beautiful home had been the residence home for the Presiding Bishop. Twenty five years the home served the Bishops and accommodated District activities. Bishop Bryant a most wonderful man and wife had just lived in the home.

When Ingram was appointed Bishop over this District, which was a promotion for him, he and his wife visited the home and refused to spend one night there. Ingram stayed in a hotel until a house could be found in North Dallas good enough for him. I called the District office and ask why Bishop Ingram did not want to live in the Southern Sector, and Oak Cliff. I was informed that the Bishop did not like the area, and he needed a bigger and better house, and of course the Church was paying for the new house. The house on Bar Harbor did not sell soon as the Church needed the money, because they didn’t have cash to pay for Ingram’s new house; the church took a lost on 1626 house so they could get Ingram out of that hotel.
All this time Paul Quinn was drowning and the man in charge of the District that oversees the school was spending church money living high on the hog, that church money could have gone to the school. If Bishop Ingram and his wife are too good for Oak Cliff that they would not spend one night in a fully furnished house, how can I give one dime to anything that Ingram has to do with? Paul Quinn is located in Oak Cliff, the students live in Oak Cliff but the man in charge will not spend one night in Oak Cliff. Where is God in all this?

I cleaned up Bishop College, I went back and cleaned up Paul Quinn, I worked on getting ac working at Paul Quinn. I have made contribution to Paul Quinn while at the same time I contribute to my Alma Mata Huston Tillotson University in Austin.

Bishop Gregory G.M. Ingram a Negro from Detroit has the nerve to dislike Oak Cliff so bad he would not sleep out here, will never receive one dime from me for anything.
I do respect Michael Sorrel and what he has tried to do at the College, I feel for the students but with Leadership on the Board with the mind set of Bishop Ingram nothing will change with all the money in the world.

Dallas Texas, White and Black, City and Corporate community, Churches’ and other groups have supported Bishop and Paul Quinn colleges to no avail. It is time to call the question.
Thanks to Senator West the students do have another school in walking distance to attend and receive an education.

Great Woman and Friends Funeralized in same week .

I attended the funeral service of two very good woman and hard workers in our Community. Ms. Tommie Lackey Franklin was a woman who trained young people. A gentleman that had been in her teen group years ago came to the service and he was a living testimony of what happen when a child has a role model and someone who care about their future.Ms. Franklin helped thousands of young people follow the right path.

Sue Daniels was another hard working in the grass roots of politics,she was the same Sue everyday, her husband Don would do what ever she ask. I will miss Sue the way she would put her hands on my cheeks and say 'oh Betty how are you'.
Rest in Peace Ms. Franklin and Sue you did your job very well.

To be blessed with God given talent ,family, money and fame and yet so tormented with life , the only way you can sleep is have your body shut down so your mind can rest is the saddest reason a human would die in this age of modern medicine.
It always seemed that Michael suffered from some mental stress and grew strange after his skin disease was diagnosis people made fun of his skin turning white, which was so cruel.
Growing up in his father’s home The strict discipline of the Father, being next to the youngest child, the brothers jealous of his natural talent ,seeing his mother dominated by the father, being home all day with so many young kids, hearing the arguments of the parents severely damaged Michael Jackson. A few years of good therapy and some mild medication to stop his mind from spinning like a top would have corrected his problem.
His will expresses he did not trust his family members, even now this poor man has not been buried because of family feud. The Father Joe is busy trying to capitalize on his death, his mother wanting to get Court papers over his Estate very first working day after his death and no one talking about his burial. I know his mother loved him but when will some person from that family show some real grief for Michael.

The fans loved him and God loves him. The stupid Police Chief or Mayor in Los Angles said on CNN “Jackson Family should be paying the City for security while they are paying 25,000.00 for a gold casket” how crazy. In a City of Famous people he should know about crowd control.
People are trying very hard to make Michael a dope addict, I know that the drug reported to have been found in his home are (Diprivan) not the type used to get high. The drug is given normally in an IV and it puts you in a coma like state, you feel no pain nor do you remember anything your mind is blank, when you wake up you do not feel any kind of high. Michael just wanted to rest his mind.

I will never believe Michael molested any child. He was searching for his childhood, he knew children are innocent and love you for who you are not what you have. Children don’t judge, complain or deceive. Michel loved the Peace being in the presence of innocent minds who loved the park games and rides he also enjoyed.

May Michael Jackson rest in Peace and enjoy the sleep of mind he so desperately sought.

HOW DARE the Dallas Morning New, criticize Carolyn Davis for Dead Man Curve!

S.M. Wright Freeway has been an ongoing Battle for People in South Dallas since Councilwoman Elsie Faye Higgins. Every single Black elected Official and some well meaning White people and Officials have worked on that stretch of Highway for years only to be told time and time again the same thing. What you see now at the spot of many accidents is an improvement.
When I-45 split the Black neighborhood in half and destroyed many homes, they promised to fix Dead Man Curve and what you see is the fix. The street was widened and cement curve barrier put up to prevent head on collision like in pass accidents. Give Carolyn Davis a break on Dead Man Curve we all have worked our ASS off to get that thing fixed but to no avail. State and City had no intention of fixing it as long as it leads to nowhere in their minds.

DMN, Davis gets chance to hone leadership skills: Well, Hell where were you while that Buffoon lead DISD? Have you ever ask Jack Lowe where he’s been while an over paid staff stole the DISD blind? Did you ask Lowe if he knew Hinojosa son was in that program using Title 1 money, which is clearly for poor kids, first generation graduated and undeserved minority. Hispanics are the Majority of DISD so the are not undeserved. Hinojosa son met none of the qualifications for that program; Jack Lowe said it’s nothing wrong with it. 1.6 million dollars paid to connect kids to college, what the hell is wrong with that picture.

Carolyn Davis has had some slow moments at City Hall but so have two other elderly White men from North Dallas. One can not remember one vote from another after he wakes up. The people elected them not the DMN.

Dallas has lots of bad elected officials and as you noted DMN only 1,338 voted in the run off. You know why. Black people are worn out with seeing the same situation in their neighborhood week after week month after month and nothing seems to change. It does not matter who the Council person is Dallas City Hall is run by the same folk or their children or their Protégé.
The City Manager form of government is why Dallas is one sided, all on the North nothing on the South. It was planned. Looks at what we have North bright lights, clean streets new buildings as far as the eye can see until you cross the magic line and even the grass looks different the Freeway is gray and ugly not beige and brown with State star.

DMN Black people in this Town are tired of seeing White people, Brown people, Asians people prosper and gain respect in Dallas while nothing changes for them, from their local Government. If Hinojosa was Black he would have been run out of Town or in jail for the things He’s done at DISD. How did he hire Kim Olson knowing she was given an Honorable discharge from service on a Plea bargain and part of that say’s she can not work under Federal programs for some years, DISD has all sorts of Federal programs.

DMN find some White people to talk about. I am too old to keep being hit in the face each morning with your news paper and the Bull S____ you write. Visit someone who knows something about Dallas before you state your Opinion. Why do you think these new Black Leaders are in trouble all over this Country, they found out after being elected the Dream was a sack of money and the businessmen had the biggest sacks? The Dream had nothing to do about ALL the People just you and yours.

Can We Stop Hateing People Who Disagree With Us?

I ran for City Council in 2006 the day after the election, I checked into Baylor Hospital and had major surgery. I kept the surgery quite because I was still a DHA Board member. I was hospitalized for seven days. My friend and one of the hardest working Councilman at City Hall, Dwain Caraway was by my side and all. Took me home from hospital. And saw to it I had every thing I needed.
I tell this story because after that surgery

I sort of mentally separated my self from Politics and stayed out of it so I could recover. The DHA board was a natural for me it’s my profession. I did not miss one meeting due to illness. I am now on the DFW Airport board and its hard work so many aspects to the organization. It is very political. Just two short years and the climate have changed.

What I have found this time round the people in Power want you to agree with them on all issues as if you give up your identity and mind to serve. They get mad with you and you become the enemy vs. a person with a mind of your own. What is strange is your opinion is not contrary to their opinion they just don’t want you to express it’s as if no one has sense but them.
They really become angry with you and you end up on the s---- list. To make this City and Country great it will take all of us. No man no matter how smart knows every thing
We all need help.
Many mistakes are made because people think they are so smart and know everything until they put their foot in their mouths daily. Some have the God mentality if they say it
It’s the law.
I
Pray the people will give up that nasty hate of people who simply have a difference of opinion.

President Obama has said our opponents are not our enemies and that is so true good open dialogue Is healthy I hope the New Council will understand and have more tolerance for other peoples right to the First Amendment.

This comes from experience.

Round One: DA Craig Watrins vs. Commissioner Price

Well, the show is on at Dallas County. Freshman DA elected County wide, very well liked, doing good job named Texan of the Year by major news organization in one corner.
Career 25 year County Commissioner elected from District 3, Jail problem, budget short fall, been in confrontation with lots of people, bad press on Inland Port and etc,
Timing is the only thing saving Commissioner Price in this battle.

Black folk are happy with Craig Watkins being first Black DA. People all over the World like the fact he has return Justice to the criminal justice system.

If and when the Voters are forced to make a choice it will be the Black DA who has restored honor to the office. Many people are already mad at how Commissioner Price is treating Craig Watkins. The one saving grace is DA Watkins has not called Commissioner Price’s name as being the one, but the street grape vine has it and now everyone knows. John is correct in handling the budget it’s his job and responsibility, but to say the DA is in La,La Land.
The side bar work that the Public does not see is why the DA responds the way he has. I retired form Dallas County in 2004 they had started to ask all Departments heads to cut % back then and every year since, this budget shortfall is nothing new. Dallas County has the lowest tax in the State and that is good. The Commissioners Court is responsible for the Jail being in the condition it was in, Sheriff Bowles asks year after year and was turn down, but his jail still passed inspection. In the same budget. I was in the same hearing begging for my budget, the budget office turned me down every year for jail health even when Parkland was paying, The way Budget works at the County is: the budget Office sends you a budget based on current spending and staff, they then ask you to submit your new request for the new year, this information is given to budget office, the analyst meets with you and HR review you staffing request after that the budget office sends to the Commissioners Court what they recommend you get. Budget hearing is when the Commissioners hear your plea for new items that budget office did not recommend. Thos decisions have Cost the County close to 50 million dollars.
Neither jail nor jail health ever failed inspection during the five years I was in charge of health and worked with Sheriff Bowles. We had no new lawsuits either.

It is time Elected Official take responsibility and do what is right raise the DAM tax.
Officials are being irresponsible in asking staff to cut, cut, and cut when the only thing to do is raise more revenue. I worked for Dallas County 21 years I know how lean it is in terms of staff. I also know how Commissioners pick on different Directors and Officials.
Mike Cantrell hated me so he got off the Health Advisory Board, he could not take a Black woman speaking up. Jim Jackson could not stand Bowles that’s why they set him up. I could write a Book about what went on at Dallas County 21 years but the County has been good to me, so I will take it to my grave with me.

You need to write and tell the full Commissioners Court to do the right thing, raise taxes to fund basic County service we do not mind paying a little more for Justice to remain in the Court House. Commissioners Court 411 Elm St. Dallas, Texas 75201

A Day At City Council,Oh My God.

When the Mayor and Dallas City Council finish with the budget if they cut just half of what they talked about today, City Hall might as well close down. The water rates are going up again, parking, meter rate plus CUT,CUT ,CUT. Senior Service program they want to close down. People please pay attention and call your Council person.
Tax must be raised or Dallas will go darker at night.

They are spending 16 million dollars of Transportation money from President Obama to pave across Woodall Rogers freeway so Uptown can meet Downtown ,but want us to continue to drive on the tore up streets. We use Bond money for basic service but stimulus money for Park. I pray for the Councilmembers who are trying some don't have a clue. If you have time just go see your Government at work.Councilman Caraway,Atkins and a few others are trying Hill is on Judicial issue so maybe something at City Hall will work. Mary knows what it takes but the people she work for will not allow her idea's to happen. Sad so Sad.

Ok! Dallas Dirk Nowitzki Loves Woman of Color .Get Over It.

OK! Dallas now you know something that I have known for years. Dirk Nowitzki loves Woman of color and always has. That is one of the reasons he has kept his private life so very private, he knew Dallas would hate him for loving women of color. In Dallas we are so very racist in public but, Oh so equal opportunity in the bedroom.
Dirk is not the only one they are from the Board room to the wash room, baseball, football you name it.
White men love woman of color. Dirk is not an American so his love for women of color
Is a choice he made and it has worked for him.

The number one reason Black people are all different colors. White men have been in love with Black women since the beginning of time.

Dirk Nowitzki, its not wrong to love Cristal Taylor, she had some problems in the past trying to keep up, spending money, writing bad checks and misdemeanor thief. That does not make her a bad person. Is she wrong for doing those things yes, does that make her bad no. Martha Stewart went to prison. Judge Mathis went to jail.
Mark Cuban and party would love for you to date Martha Stewart her crime was the same.

Dirk, Dallas Fans, Mavericks and some of your employees want you to kick Cristal to the curb but you love her. Everyone around you Claim to care for you but you pay them so sure they care. How could Cristal know you all this time and no one checked her out until you ask her to marry you? If in fact you were having an investigation done for pre nuptial you were serious about her.

Dirk, Cristal is human she made a lot of mistakes but don’t allow your People to keep you from extending a helping hand. This Lady is in jail, no money and no help, if you love her help her. That does not mean you want to marry or have a relationship but if she lived in your home for two years, she deserves some help from you. Legal help so she can get her life on track. The case in Beaumont will not fly; Texas does not put people in jail for not paying a bill so that can be beat with good legal Counsel. The probation case in the other State is so old she will get time served or reduced sentence so she really will be back on the street in no time.

Cristal you need to think about your life and realize your beauty is 37 years old and will get older by the day so you cannot continue to use it to influence men to be good to you.
Get a job or education so you can care for your self, gain some confidence in self not beauty. Dirk Nowitzki loves you I believe, but you past caught up with you and has destroyed what has been your lifetime dream, marry a man with money. I am sure you care for him but God has interrupted your life for reason. Claim Jesus and leave reporters alone. Pray for God to send you some help quick!

Pastor Mack T. Flemmings and congregation will celebrate THEIR Thirty fifth (35) Church Anniversary May 31, 2009 at the 10AM Worship Service.
Pastor Flemmings is the first and only Pastor of the 35 years old Church. Freedom the organization was born on Kellogg Street in the home of Judy and Don King, sister and brother in law to Flemmings. The Church later held it’s service at People’s El Shaddal Community Center, after rapid growth moved to 9021 South R.L. Thornton Freeway and finally to 3715 S. Westmoreland where they remain for 30 years.
Dr. Flemmings is very active in the Dallas Community and serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for FOCUS, organization for at risk youth. And other Quality of life issues
Pastor Flemmings hosted an Official Community Inaugural Ball for President Obama’s inaugural. Freedom has just finish planting its Community garden as part of its youth program.
Dr. Flemmings is General Secretary, Institutional Missionary Baptist Convention, member African American Pastors Coalition, Foreign Mission Board, and National Baptist Convention.
Dr. Flemmings is a proud graduate of the Booker T. Washington High School, Dallas where he studied art and drafting, he designer the cover for 1959 school Year book and various other graphics throughout the book.
Dr. Flemmings received his Masters and Doctoral Degrees in Philosophy, Aspen Christian College, Denver Co.

I sense a little anger in the Plain(DMN editorial) Group lately. The Opinions have been a little harsh on issues. Ann Margolin won the race and they wrote an after letter about the Loser. How tacky.
Sharon Boyd said it best they are out of Touch with their readers. The fact that they endorsed L.D. Thomas and said Tennell Atkins was not doing anything with the Southern Dallas Task force is a lie. I am a member and on the area 10 Advisory committee and we are working hard and have achieved a lot.I have nothing bad to say about L.D. but Councilman Atkins is doing a good job and is very smart.
The Palin group need to get up off of their Butts and come into the neighborhoods are get off their High Horses and read the work of the reported at the DMN.
Once upon a time I had the utmost respect for the Editorial Board but now they need an attitude adjustment.

There has been so many people that I love, admired and respected pass away lately. I wonder if God is having a reunion of his faithful ones? I speak with people one day and a day or so later they are gone. I see so much life lost to useless crimes,I wonder if People realize what Life is worth. Do Young People or Old know when it's over it's over.
The Young man new to Dallas and trusting of people had his life taken for no reason, I cried for him and his family.The Father who took his and his sons life saw no other way out.
We need to pray hard and fast to stop the people from harming one another.Politicians need to project a soft and warm spirit so we can turn this Thing around, Pastors need to pump it up.
Please do what you can to talk with people under pressure, understand them, reach out to them remind them that Life is good and once a person is gone there is no miracle portion to bring them back. One shot, one stab wound a car wreck, driving drunk, talking on cell phone can take a life. Stop Think About It. Don't hurt or harm
anyone.

DISD Board Should Step Down!

Well Now Two More Elected Officials Acting Like Thugs!

Well I guess you will call me every thing but the "Child of God" but we just had to more minority elected Officials acting like street thugs in a very sacred building. The George Allen Court building. If the news is reporting correct information.
I have no idea what happen or who is right or wrong, however I do know ,if the Judges
had any altercation in the Court House visible or heard by members of the General public or theirs staff their actions were wrong. The case has been forwarded to the Texas Rangers by the Dallas County Sheriff.

A Judge is the highest office one can obtain that directly effects a persons life with the decision they make. If a Judge cannot control his temper or his emotions in an email to another Judge how can he sit in Judgement of others. It's a dam shame and I hate to hear it on the local news.

I have absolutely nothing against Commissioner John Price Wiley Price, in fact I Love John and always have. John Price has been a part of my life for close to 40 years .John has been very very good to me and I to him. Commissioner Price first found dislike with me because he did not like the fact that when I had a radio program, I did not cut people off if they said something critical about him. He told me about it after I ask him why he was acting strange towards me, I told him the program was live and I would not cut people off. We sort of made up for a while. I’m not really sure why he found dislike the next time he did not say, I did not ask.
Every Tuesday in Commissioners Court for two solid years Commissioner Price would attack every item I had on the agenda just for the hell of it to make me squirm. I took it because being a Department head you are paid for working and I felt that if one day a week I had to be drilled over routine issues it was part of the job. The hurt was heavy on me because I did not know why someone I cared so much about and had worked so close with and shared so much could turn on me without a reason. At this point I had done nothing that I was aware of to hurt Commissioner Price or if I did I did know what. I went to the Doctor only to be told I was suffering from major depression and put on medicine. I still worked every day. Suffered a Heart attack on the job hospitalized for five days. I did not know at this time I was in renal failure also.
Members of the Commissioners Court would say John and Betty have a love-hate relationship .I was in no position to either hate my Boss or take any action against him. He had a love –hate relationship with me I guess.
People, who knew us, would hear violent arguments on issues in the Community, when I worked in the Commissioners office, me trying to tell him what I though was right after the argument we were just as close and the issue event over. We would go have lunch or dinner.

A new group of people started to hang around Commissioner Price after I left his Office and went out to Human Service and that’s when the Big change came. They did not like the relationship Commissioner Price and I had so they were Hell bent on destroying it and that, they did. I did not know it then, I found out much later.

Commissioner Price has never heard me say or do anything to hurt or harm him. His circle of people tells him all sorts of foolishness about me and he believes them. They make up stories and plant them in him and he falls for them. I think I got mad at John because he believed theses weak fools who only want to use him up, with me out of the way they can. I did not allow them access. There never were two people who made a better Team than John Price and me we hung some Moon’s.

After my near Death health crisis I promised God that I would live for Jesus and make amends to people that I had wronged or offended and ask forgiveness. Commissioner Price was the first person and only person on my list because I could not understand what I did or what they say I did to make him so angry with me. I wrote and ask him to forgive me if I had done something wrong to him, unintentional hurt him or what ever the case please forgive me. I got no response from the Commissioner.

I write this very personal blog so that you, the General Public will understand when I criticize an elected Official It’s the position they hold not them. I am not mad or have any hard feeling towards Commissioner Price. I love John Price and will be at his side when he needs me and all the others are gone.
I have a right to speak out when I feel my elected representative is wrong. I did it in the pass and I do it now.

Today, a radio commentator asks Commissioner Price what he though about my comment on his Jim Crow talk, he asks the man? You talking about the woman, who ran for Office but could not win? That is so funny .All John can say about me is I ran for Office and did not win he loves me and will not say anything bad about me.
John Price and any other person in this City know I train John, Kathy, Rob Allen and a lot of others how to run a campaign. I ran Johns campaign and got him elected.
For the Record:
I ran for school Board to make a point “Get out of Federal Court” after the election we got out. Did I win Hell yes, something that had been going on for 32 years was over.

I ran for City Council same reason make a point “Stop a fraud”. Did I win Hell yes, Scam did not happen.

If Commissioner Price was still talking to me he would never have said anything about Jim Crow because I would have made him remember what it really meant to Black people, he would have still said something about Crow but it would not have been that.
While his paid crony stood there laughing at him make a fool of himself.

If you see my Love one tell him I am sorry and really want to talk with him. I dream about the good times when he would bring his friends to dinner at my home every Sunday after church and fellowship with me and my family .I loved cooking for him.
It’s painful to love someone and they stay mad about Nothing for six years.

Making It Clear on Press Conference

I want to make it perfectly clear that I am against Proposition 1 and 2 .
I was invited to the press conference by the Oak Cliff Chamber.I support Mayor Leppert on issues that I believe in. I whole hearted support Councilman Dwain Caraway ,Tenell Atkins and other Council members.
I was offended by the words used by some of the speakers during the press conference.
Comparing the opponents of the hotel to Jim Crow ,rapping about Crow and other words used were inappropriate in my opinion. Other people in the audience were offended also by the sounds they made after a remark was made.
My point is the time is over when you need to use emotional words to influence Black voters.Black Elected Officials need to use the same method Obama used to energize voters.
Mayor Leppert to his credit told them "you do not need to protect me" I can take care of myself. I am just sick of Black people in Leadership acting like clowns to make a point.Our people understand educated statements on issues important to them and their quality of life.
I remember when the convention center hotel was on the table before, and a group of Cows ended up on the site.I also know that as a DFW Board member I voted to build a Airport Hotel against opposition.
I have no problem with the issue. My problem is with Leadership from the Black Community continuing to present issues in a way that touches the emotion of people vs. education on issue to get votes.Obama has shown that if you have something to offer people will follow.Time has passed for emotionally fused words to strike emotions and continue to keep the same out of date Officials in office.

Sick of Perry ! + some Southern Dallas Leaders

I am so sick of Governor Rick Perry that I get a pain in my rear end every time he speaks. I supported this man in the past. What happens to people once they are in elected office? I know so many good people who run and win and then it's as if someone else posses their bodies and do so many odd things.
Rick Perry please stop making a fool of yourself.

I attended the press conference Wednesday in front of Dallas City Hall with Southern sector people against Prop.1 and 2. The people gathered were a good cross section of Oak Cliff people. I was invited by the Oak Cliff Chamber not by the Black Consultants running the show. Kathy Nealy and Willis Johnson. I guess since John Price does not like me Kathy and Willis cannot invite me in my Leadership position to a free press conference. The sad part is I am a Leader in this community by service and not for being paid.
John Price is a Leader for pay, he won one seat and has been there for years .He can not go anywhere else. John leads District 3 on the Commissioners Court, I lead people all over the City and County by appointment of governing bodies not by self appointment. When I ran for Office I did not run to win I ran to make changes and that I did. Price likes to say I only got 35% of the vote in City Council race ,hell I should not have gotten that. I ran against the entire Black establishment and (Price,Nealy,Sampson)with five people in the race and made the run office. I had one staff person and was sick and made the run off, now that's Leadership.
Anyway during the press conference the speakers were so full of bull----. Why do Black Leaders think they need to be Buffoon's at all times. They made comments about Crow and sounded like a group of street thugs rapping about some drug dealer. Crow is spending his money on what he wants and he has that right. I have not heard Mr. Crow say one word about the Southern Sector leadership and all the Elected ones have ask for his financial help from time to time. Please stop acting like Buffoon's you make President Obama look bad.

Something to laugh about

I saw this guy I know driving a older Mercedes Benz and it had stopped on the road and when I notice who it was, I pulled over to see if I could help. When we spoke I ask if it was anything I could do. He went on to say the car had been giving him trouble and I ask why not buy another car? His answer was, I am not financial right now. I then suggested he try a KIA because I had good result from mine and that another friend of ours had purchased on, he turned to me and said,Betty I wouldn't be caught dead driving a KIA, I only drive BENZ. Until that day I had no idea what a big fool he was. He would rather sit on the side of a Highway in a broken down Benz the ride down a highway in a KIA.

I stopped at the Texaco Service station on Hampton at HWY 67 there was a young good looking guy driving a wide body new Lexus we both went to pay at the same time he ask for $5.00 worth of gas on number one. I almost passed out.

Why do we put ourselves in these situations. We need to stop trying to show other people how much we are worth and be ourselves. Got real be who you are,drive what you can afford.

T.O. Owens is a born Leader with talent to match. T.O. has the ability to analyze problems and design solutions that he or anyone else could execute if they had talent.
The Dallas Way does not allow a rich, know it all black guy from who knows were to tell
A white guy in waiting for a head coaching job, his scheme is not working. The Black guy must be a fool to think he has a better brain then an All American white guy who works for another from out of no where very rich and successful guy from someplace down in Arkansas who came to Town and stole the golden goose. With the goose went so did the King of football Honorable Tom Landry. Jerry Jones was marked from that day .The Dallas Way refuse to acknowledge Jerry Jones did not fire Tom Landry. Bum Bright knew selling the Team to Jerry Jones meant a new coach would be hired. It was Bum who should have spoken with Coach Landry and prepared him for the New Owner and his new Coach, only in Dallas are you blamed for something you did’t do.
I knew when channel 8 and the DMN gave a week to print and televise the 20 years of Jerry Jones ownership it was for pressure on Jones to fire his team members who did not fit the Dallas Way. Packman was a fool so he does not count. T.O. was first and Williams had to go. No more ex-offenders or loud mouth rich Black guys , telling a white guy he’s wrong and two other players are playing favorites with the ball and causing the Team to lose, that message might get around give those guys a FLOAT Out of Town. That’s what they called it when they sent most people out of Dallas back in the day. Never mind Tony Romo was throwing interception, fumbling balls, missing hand off and etc. the chemistry in the locker room made him do IT! What will Tony use this season? What will Jason Garrett use this season? Whiten is a very nice guy but he does not have the talent of T.O. and never will. The Dallas Way has kept this City from making progress and moving into the World of Reality. These fifty plus very good guys making Decisions based on their day need to take a rest and allow their Sons to run the Business Community’s affairs. The Frank Sinatra generation is done. The nerve of some paid sports writers to say Jerry is listening because he fired some guys who did not make Tony feel comfortable. Tony Romo, Jason Garrett and Whiten work for a living. We all do. I worked 13 years for an organization that allowed one of it’s own to harass employees at will. None of us allowed that to interfere with our work product. We all knew we must deal with that Fool one day a week so we decided to grin and bear it. So should Tony Romo and Whiten and Garrett.
T.O. had problems maybe he should not have been hired but to say Wade Phillips, Jason Garrett, Tony Romo, Whiten can’t do their jobs because of T.O. is the biggest lie ever been told. Chemistry in the locker room, hell the game is played on the field. I wonder how Troy Aikman played with Michael Irvin’s troubles. How did Roger S. play with Harvey Martin and his problems? Leaders are successful in spite of adversity, that is how Leaders are judged what they show when the Chemistry mix is not good. Anyone can lead when the chemistry is good. I guess President Obama should run for the Hills if the world lived by the Sports theory.

John Price and Defamation Go Togeather !

John Price has spent years defaming people. On his radio programs and in public. He has said things about people that could have been liable. Most people let it slide because of the Community and they just didn't want to get involved in a public fight with Commissioner Price. I believe the line of People would wrap around the Court house of people he has defamed or hurt in his capacity as County Commissioner.
He has spent all these years in Office and nothing has changed but the amount of money in his bank account and property he owns.The man has grown older and meaner yet
we keep electing him to office. The white community still believes he's the man downtown because we continue to elect him.His power is being given by US. We have created this monster and I wonder what and when the people will see it for what it is. It took me a very long time to see and feel it so I understand.
Congresswoman Johnson and County Judge Foster are just the latest in his line of people. He wants to depose them prior to filling his lawsuit because he really wants to know what they really know, he thinks that's the way to go.When he holler call the FBI on him, he knows that some people in the Black community believes he is employed by the FBI so the call goes unanswered. I wonder how could he possible do the things to people that other people have been sent to jail for and not ever face any kind of investigation unless he has connection to FBI or CIA.

DISD asking for 4% more in tax over Tax limit.

Did you know a bill has been filled to give DISD 4% more in property tax revenue over the State limit.I believe it HB 5118 not sure about the number but call your State Representative and ask them to vote No on giving DISD more tax money to waste. The Federal government is giving DISD million more in money so why do they need a property tax limit increase. Vote No!

Rich People Pay Your Tax!

Why in the hell won't the rich people with money pay their tax? I pay mine every month and at the end of the year. President Obama does not need all the head ache you none paying tax people are giving him. When ever I am nominated for anything I go and check to see if I owe any tax,fine lien or anything else that might be a determent to my being appointed or elected.We owe it to the people supporting us to have our business in order.

How could any Black person think a cartoon depicting a Chimpanzee being shot is linked to President Obama?

Why do Black people think that a monkey automatically reference us? I am no monkey and did not come from the animal family. I see nothing racist about the cartoon or stereotypes blacks as monkeys.

President Obama is the best looking President America ever had. John Kennedy is the next best. President Obama has a very well built body and that walk is to die for. The man is handsome, smart, well educated and genius. The Presidents belief for the recovery of this Country gives him a smile and peacefulness of a Saint. I know he’s not but when I try and find a word to describe his appearance all I can think is saintly.

The Presidents affection for his wife and children is genuine it come out all over the place.

How in the hell could Sen. Eric Adams or anyone think this man comes close to being a monkey?
Black people Obama is President of the United States of America. That means he is fair game for all. Public figures do not get to pick and chose what people think or say about them. Lies are told rumors are started and most of the time its nothing. We as a race need to treat President Obama as all other Presidents are, with support when he right and speak out when he’s wrong. The other races of people who helped elect Obama to Office will soon not want to deal with another Black man for national office if every single thing said or done will be called racist. The shoe thrown at President Bush was racist but no one called it.
President Obama has enough to deal with please let us stop playing the race card and work to make this Country better.

Lynn Flint-Shaw Lived and Served her Community.

Good evening my Friend, you did live and serve your Community. Job well done. I think about you each day. I miss your voice, I miss seeing you driving down the street. Thanks for the beautiful book you sent during my illness. Ian misses you,but your direction from day one to him will help him cope. I still can not believe you are gone, I keep thinking you will return from a long trip but I know you won't.Bye

Why The Fuss over Kwame Kilpatrick in North Texas?

What's the fuss over former Mayor Kilpatrick moving to North Texas? He is welcome here. North Texas is full of Ex-Felons so one more will not hurt us. If Martha Stewart moved here would anyone care. Kwame went to jail for telling a lie about an affair, he is married and most married men lie about their affairs. What he did as an elected Official was wrong. A second chance at life is a God given right.

It's a shame that Bob's family is acting like they have not know that Ms. Hester has been fighting this Hall of Fame battle for years.Everyone who knew Bob knows he died without money.Ms. Hester has been around for years I met her when Bob was released from prison.Dallas Cowboys and Hall of Fame please allow Ms. Hester to proceed with the honor. The note they claim was poorly written hell Bob did not write or spell good , he played football good. There is no money for those fools that Bob helped when he was playing.They think there is money from the Hall of Fame for them. God bless Bob Hayes.

DHA New Leadership Three Big Blunders

Dallas Morning News Editorial Board (The Palin Group) /James Ragland and Others. Hounded the Mayor until he appointed new Leadership to the Dallas Housing Authority Board. Sure have gotten a dozy of new Leadership. The Dallas Morning News Editorial even questions the wisdom of appointing Terdema Ussery but said he should bring the financial wisdom to the organization. First off Terdema is a fine fellow and has moved up in the Maverick organization, he is a contract manager and negotiator. Mr.Ussery works in an environment with little governance and regulatory control.
Mr. Ussery also works with an Owner with never ending money and he does not use HUD money with Federal regulation. The Owner even had his own Federal regulation problems lately. There is a big difference in Public and Private funding.

The new Leadership has already made three big errors:

1, changing the Board members names and pictures in the 2007-2008 Annual report, after being advised by staff not to. The Annual Report covered activities performed under the old Board members and should have reflected that, the new Board will appear in the 2009 Annual report.

2, when interviewing the candidates for the President/CEO position the New Leadership called in the Director of HR a subordinate of the intrim President/CEO who they were interviewing and ask her about his Qualification for the job. The Board did not call any other HR director of the other candidates. How can you ask a subordinate to judge the qualification of her Boss? Maybe they do that in the NBA but not in the real world.

3, Chairman Ussery has named seven people to his advisory committee. All are nice people but none have any knowledge of Public housing and none represent the interest of the Residents. Three are builders/developers one of which has a contractual relationship with DHA which is clearly a conflict, the other a sports and entertainment guy, college chancellor who also has contractual contact with DHA, PR firm owner. Not one person who has contact with the community that they serve. HUD/ Mike Daniels will have a ball with this group if anything they recommend to the Board is done. The new President has already said before one day in the Office she wants to inventory DHA assets.
I would hope she would first want to see first how far the Agency has come with the OIG audits.

I will keep reporting on the updates. Ms Russ does know HUD she worked with the Clinton administration in HUD. I just hope the politicians will not try and run the agency into the ground with a fight over little Mexico. Mr. Ussery will have another conflict with that property since the AAC is in the 200 foot notification of the Little Mexico property.

The Ghost of Ann Lott's still Dancing at DHA.

The Ghost of Ann Lott is in the house at 3939 Hampton Rd. The Ghost continues to influence staff to do things that are wrong and incorrect and makes the public think they are crazy are just corrupt. I think it’s the Ghost. People who are so loyal to a Ghost are a little bit insane, but when it comes to their job one would think they at least cared about themselves or their family.
Ann Lott gave her job away simple truth. Ann Lott and her warriors think I got rid of her.
Nothing could be farther from the truth but I write this to share how misguided people can bring so much pain on themselves and the people or person they want to hurt ends up blessed and not hurt at all. I have served on so many Boards and never had to terminate a Director on any in fact many that are there now are people I helped to hire. Ann Lott was gone when I went to DHA Board, I signed her new 3 year contract /raise and travel does that sound like someone trying to fire her.

Let me share this with you, I served from 2006 until November 2008. When I went on the Board the new Annual report was coming out in February so I was Chair of Board when book was published. The former Board was in report and former Chair. The next book which is for 2007-2008 has Terdema Ursery picture as chair. Now Mr. Ursery came on the Board November 6, 2008 the book had been at the printer since October with my picture and letter from the Chair in it. This staff person went to the trouble to cut me out of the book and did not even have letter from Chair. The Ghost of Ann Lott is powerful and it really does not matter who the Board is of President/ CEO if they do not clean house nothing will change because the evil is deep and in so many of them.
Now here is where the rubber meets the road an Annual report is to provide information to shareholders in your organization. In an effort to not have me in any Annual report these fools have cut an 18 month period from the history of the agency. My signature is on documents going everyplace that DHA does business as Chair how can that be undone?
How silly is it to use a DHA Annual report to hurt a former Chair who you believe fired you beloved President? How foolish is it to print the name of a Compliance Officer who’s been gone from the agency for over a year in the same book. The cost of the information preparation for this book cost over 20,000.00 and professional staff at DHA supervising it. I bring this up because if it’s done to me it will be done again, next time it could be worst. Mine was only a picture and name what if it were a check, voucher, empty apartment unit. Annual report is accurate information for Public use any one wrong item puts the entire report in questions.

The General Council of DHA is leaving to join Ann Lott at her new job that’s a good move they complement each other.

Well so much for Ghost! Next week I will be only talking about Change and working as President Obama ask.

FYI Betty Culbreath is Not a Candidate for Dallas City Council

Thank all of you for your good wishes. However I want to live the remainder of my life care free and happy. Elected officials work hard if they are doing the job correct. I do not want to work hard anymore. Service on the Dallas Housing Authority Board was like going to work every day, only difference I was not paid.

So friends feel good for me that I now know it's alright to just do nothing and have fun.

Also I was interested in service on another Board last year when my term expired on DHA,however Mayor Leppert called me and ask me to stay at DHA until he picked his appointees. I stayed 11 months so now I am available to serve on another Board. My service has nothing to do with anyone running for City Council this has been a year long process. So haters please stop trying to build a case for me not running for Dallas City Council, I do not want to run end of story.I can count from the audience.
I want an RV and some gas money and that's all.

Pastor Mack T. Flemmings ! What a Man ! What a Pastor!

I had the pleasure of attending the Freedom Missionary Baptist Church, Presidential Inaugural Ball Jan. 20, 2009. 6:30 PM in the Fellowship hall next door to the church.
As I entered the building I did not recognize the hallway, it was beautifully decorated with red, white and blue balloons perfectly placed. A large backdrop of the Presidential seal was there so attendees could take pictures. Entering the Ball room I though I was in the Fairmont Hotel. Everything was there, the table covering, table decoration, table souvenirs with Presidential seal. The young Adult ministry did not miss a beat. I attended Clinton inaugural and went to the Arkansas Ball, believe me these young people covered it all, with sit down dinner, DJ and non alcohol champagne. I spoke on the comparison of President Obama’s victory and King David.

Pastor Flemmings and his Sister Judy King had the first dance and others followed. The Ball had an over flow crowd. The Ball was also approved by the Presidential inaugural committee and listed on the Official web site of President Obama inaugural activities. The ball was wonderful and Pastor Flemmings was great to have the idea of hosting the Ball. So many members wanted to witness history and be a past of it so the Pastor accommodated us and the Public was invited. Freedom Missionary Baptist Church will now be listed in the History of the 44th and First Black President.
We also received a Thank You from President Obama for hosting the ball. This was indeed a people’s inaugural.

Thank Pastor Mack T. Flemmings for taking a leap towards change and understanding that joy come from the Lord. The bible says make a joyful noise to the Lord. King David dances and shouted full of joy for the Lord.

Councilwoman Hill On Top of Sack and Save building.

I had an opportunity to speak with Councilwoman Vonciel Hill at City Hall last week.
I was so pleased to get fresh information on a property in District 5 near my home. I have always spoken when I did not approve of an action by an Elected Official and I have also spoken when I have been wrong. I also speak when an Official is doing something good or right. I take my Politics serious and it’s not a game with me.

Councilwoman Hill is working with the owner of the Sack and save property to bring in another anchor tenant. It’s going to be hard to convince a grocer but she is trying. The Councilwoman has also spoke with the owner about the type of business that she does not want in the center. Happy to know progress is being made and the Councilwoman is on top of it.

Dallas County Fine Collection ! What Next?

Dallas County Fine and Fee Collection what will they try next. Someone has a loose screw connection at Dallas County or everyone has been there to long for a new idea. The County first established a central collection office which is done in modern times. The County spent big money on that center and it was going pretty good, until some other County Elected Justice of the Peace wanted their cash flow back in each office. The ego and not being willing to try a new method to collect closed the central pay station. The County went to Warrant Round up. Stevie Wonder could have told them if a man can not pay when he’s out, how in the hell can he pay in Jail. The then went to their property Tax
Collection Lawyer who can’t collect property tax, without going to Court but the County thinks they can collect fines.
Now the County is going to hold up automobile registration until the people pay their fines and fees. Crazies’ thing I ever heard! How do you stop guaranteed money? Who in their right thinking would stop sure money for hopeful money? The fines and fees in Dallas County are too high. The County has turned tickets, Court fines and fees into tax revenue and because they can the fees go up and are just too HIGH. People just cannot pay them.
I have seen long lines in Precinct 1 JP Court Thomas Jones people trying to pay traffic fines, waiting as long as 45 minutes or more on any given day. You see what most people don’t know is the County Budget office does the staffing based on cases and collection so if the budget office does not authorize position you can not hire people. Unlike DISD where they hire people just because they need them. The Dallas County way is better but some times it needs changing based on traffic and time spent helping Clients one person might be easy to help where three more can take up to 30 minutes.

At any rate the County need to cut its losses and as the IRS does send notices and cut the fees and fines in half for people financial enough to pay.

Republican Official Not Helping Texas !

Texas Republican are not helping the Republican Party playing silly Politics. How can the Governor of Texas say, Texas does not need a bailout? How could Congressman Joe Barton say the pending bill is a “big social spending splurge”? I have always respected Joe Barton but now it seems he’s drinking from a little bottle in his breast pocket. Thousands in Texas being laid off, long lines at Texas Workforce centers and these fool are talking as if they do not live in Texas. The State has a surplus but who can spend the money on meat and bread. How much has the State budget been allocated for auto, homeowners and health insurance for working middle class? At least Senator Hutchinson said package worries her.
Professor Weinstein say’s the bill should include more money for transportation and other construction, those two fields limit the job opportunities. Where as Job training creates jobs. Medicaid goes to providers and they spend with other providers and that puts money into circulation and people are kept healthy. Spending is not limited to people going shopping. The bill includes money for Highways, Transit, guide ways and clean water all those include construction.
Education programs have construction built in as well as Pell grant money and special education.

How can this bill be called social splurge, the only near social program is Food stamps and that is a food bill not social, Medicaid is a health expense not Social so just what is Barton talking about in the Social Service category? Funding for the homeless.

Any elected Official from Texas who say’s Texas does not need or want the money is a misguided fool. All Texans pay Federal Tax and we have a right to enjoy the fruit of our Tax as any other State. If our Officials communicate to the President that Texas will not take the money the Official should face impeachment, because he or she is not speaking for me. No one has done a survey asking Texans if they want to refuse the Federal money and give it to another State. Until our will is known Governor Perry should shut the HELL up and Joe Barton put that little bottle up, if that is what has him talking silly.

President Bush ran a larger deficit then any President in modern time and now Republicans have a problem with cost to pull this Country out! What the Hell!

Southern Dallasr JP Offices ?

I had the opportunity to file civil papers it Justice Thomas Jones Court about three years ago and I was very pleased with the outcome. I also have visited the Court on other matters and the office was full of people and most were being helped as fact as possible.
The Court is very busy and the space in which the court is located is very small, people are all in the hallway. The Constable’s office across from the Court is large and seems to a lot of space not being used. I wonder why Commissioner John Price doesn’t fix the problem. Commissioner Price said in the DMN on 1-09-2009 the Court is under staffed,
Well the staffing pattern is approved by the Commissioners Court. Who is to blame? The action inside of the Court is under the jurisdiction of the Judge. In the past year I have ask for a change of venue on my civil matters because of what I felt was some political influence from outside sources. I have visited the JP # 5 office and felt I was treated fairly. I am not sure what the problem is in Judge Jones Court but, for the good of the people I hope every thing turns out ok. John Price took action against Judge Rose over complaints as serious as the charges against Judge Jones. I glade to see him let Judge Jones case run its course in the Court.

Councilwoman Hill The Flag Scarf A Bit Much!

I attended a brief meeting today and overheard some young political type's talking about the Flag scarf Councilwoman Hill wore to the City Council meeting yesterday.They were saying it was a insult to them that it seemed she used this occasion of Officer Smith's death to display her patriotism wearing the scarf.I saw the meeting on TV and listens to her speech. I know she was sincere about the lost of the Office as everyone else is. I notice the big flag scarf and it seemed it was a made for photo opportunity scarf.All people must live with their own decisions in life. If a Council member has done a good job or is doing a good job there is no need to stage TV.

There have been many murders in District 5 during the past two years that Councilwoman Hill has been in Office. One the young Solider shot in the front of his Parents house, she and I must pass there every time we leave home, not one time has she called for O tolerance on crime. Not one time has she called on the residents of District 5 to help stop the crime. I want to help but I have no Leader and as Obama says there is only one Councilwoman in Office at a time.

George Bush My Friend !

The Bush family are friends of mine. I met the younger Bush when I volunteered for his father back in the day for U.S. Senator. They are really nice people. Barbara Bush is the best. I never got to really know Laura only saw her a few times but she seems nice. I have disagreed with most of Georges policies on the war, deregulation
and some other things. I am sure happy he got the Medicare prescription bill passed sure saves me and other Seniors a lot of money.President Bush did a lot of other good things that most people don't know or don't care about. Bush had more Blacks in his administrator then any other President in the History of this Country. I welcome him home and wish him well. I know his heart was in the right place even if the outcome was wrong. Bush believed in the American dream and tried to make it possible for all American to own their home, not realizing people would take advantage of the situation. Just maybe his big mistake was trusting others to much. Maybe he and I will walk again in the Martin Luther King Jr. day parade like we did before he was ever Elected to Public Office.

I Take My Politics Very Serious !

I take my Politics very serious, always have. When I speak about an issue that involves Elected Official it has nothing to do with the person, its about the position and job. Politics are not personal with me. When a person run for Public Office or allow him/her to be appointed to public office criticism and comment comes with the territory. I like most of the people who hold Public Office some better then others, I respect the job and position that each hold . I lived in North Dallas most of my life, live in the Southern sector past 21 years. I speak about where I live mostly unless I have an opinion on a issue of City Wide importance.Please stop rolling your eyes when you see me, I still love you I just disagree with your position on certain issues. When the issue is over the disagreement is over.
